Sculpey Souffle Clay 2 oz.
Sculpey Souffle is a lightweight clay perfect for jewelry making. It is strong and self supporting and doesn't crack in large pieces which makes it great for larger clay projects as well. Beautiful suede finish when baked. Works great for popular techniques such as mokume gane, bargello and caning.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tonja Lenderman from It has it's uses. I like it! First off - I am a polymer clay artist of over 15 years. I have solely use Premo up until Souffle was released. I heard some great feedback about Souffle from polymer clay artist extraordinaire Syndee Holt, so I decided to give it a try. I think people who are finding it too soft may be over conditioning this clay. It find does not need as much conditioning as Premo. I do 3 or 4 passes through the pasta machine and it's good to go. For years I tried to do the Sutton Slice technique with mixed results using Premo. Souffle works wonderfully! I really like the suede finish of the baked clay. It certainly has it's place in jewelry making. Not everything needs to have a high gloss finish. It extrudes very well, too. I use extruded clay to make bezels and bails. I am not a caner so I can't confirm or deny it use for making canes. But I can say I am enjoying using Souffle so much I sold a large stash of my Premo to buy more. Rated 2 out of 5 by ClayCaner from Wish it would work I bought some of souffle and gave it a try. I found it to be way too soft to be able to make a cane with. I don't think this is a wonderful addition to the clay line. I will stick with Premo.

Rated 4 out of 5 by MerleG from Try it, you may be surprised' As we polymer clay enthusiasts all know, we can't wait for a new product. I bought souffle to give it a try. At first, I was unimpressed, because it is so soft. But now I have grown to love it. It has a wonderful finish, and can be used without sanding. What I have found to work best is to mix about half of this clay with about half of regular Premo. Wow is that nice. You have a little more definition from the Premo, and the nice clean finish of the soufflé. The new clay will be a definite addition to my stash of goodies.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Justine from similar to the other brands This clay is pretty similar to regular sculpey, premo and fimo. It is soft and easy to work with. I do believe it is a little lighter in weight but not by much. I love the colors it comes in also.
