Rated 2 out of 5 by from Light is worthless I purchased this for xstitching on small weave linen. The light on this item is poor at best & I have replaced the batteries 3 times in 10 days. If I still had the receipt I would have returned it.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from good product needs improvement I have used it for stitching binding to a quilt and will use it for other hand sewing. I wanted something that didn't have to be attached to something and you could sit wherever you wanted to to use it. The construction is good and sturdy. I just would like to see a brighter light or put something like a mirror or reflective material to make the light brighter like flashlights have. Also it would be good if the magnification was 3X in the large area and the smaller area magnification was a little bigger. Overall it is a good product but needs those improvements.
