Good quality, but 0 stretch
I don't know if I was sent the wrong fabric or if they're just playing up the stretch in the description, but when I ordered this, the fabric I got has no stretch whatsoever. It's a lovely fabric and seems to be good quality, but unfortunately, I bought it specifically for the stretch and it has none of that.

Great fabric for fitted items!
I love this fabric. Its super stretchy and soft/smooth on my skin. Its great for making fitted garments and goes through the machine very well. It has lots of lee-way in the stretch, so you don't need to buy too much so you can save money, too!

Stretch Satin in True a Bright White
This fabric seems to be somewhat mis-categorized. Hopefully JoAnn will change their description/settings for this product so it will show up in their search engine as a special occasion satin...
I have spent a LOT of time comparing all the white satins and linings I can find. It is too bad JoAnn does not offer swatches, right!? Here are more details than you need in case you are as particular as I but can't view this in person in the store:
This has shine and slip, but not quite as much of either as a charmeuse does. This is a bit more substantial than charmeuse, basically a standard lightweight satin.
Like all stretch satins I've seen or worked with, this has just enough stretch for a little bit of give (5-10% stretch) and only in one direction (crosswise, if my memory is correct). It is a stretch woven fabric, not a knit.
It is a true bright white (some would say optic, but it does not read blue or violet). It matches the other white fabrics in the Silky Solids collection very well, such as the Sew Classic peachskin and charmeuse. By comparison, in the Casa Collection even snow white and bright white are softer whites. As of March 2021, the only true white satin I have found in the Casa Collection is their non-stretch one that has "solids" (plural) in the title AND that does not also come in snow white or bright white.
I will be using this to make a custom shoulder to toe mermaid silhouette petticoat.

Fabric doesn't stretch
I thought that spandex fabric would be stretchy. This doesn't stretch at all. I don't know much about fabric, so I'm guessing that I missed something that would make that obvious to other people. Does everyone else know that a spandex/polyester blend won't stretch? What's the point of the spandex then?
