Determine fabric yardage:
1. To determine fabric width: measure the width of each piece of silverware; add 1/2".
Multiply by number of pieces in one keeper and add 1".
For example:
If one fork measures 1¼", then 1¼" + 1/2" = 1¾".
If there are 8 forks in the set, 1¾" x 8 = 14" + 1"= 15" fabric width.
2. To determine fabric length: measure length of each piece of silverware x 2 + 4".
For example:
If one fork measures 8", then 8" x 2 = 16" + 4" = 20" fabric length.
3. Cut silver cloth to width x length; here, cut to 15"x20". Cut coordinating fabric 1" larger than silver cloth dimensions, 16"x21".

Construction:
1. Pin silver cloth and fabric wrong sides together with 1/2" of fabric extending past silver cloth.
2. Fold edge of fabric in 1/4", then over silver cloth 1/4" to create a narrow hem enclosing silver cloth.
3. Fold up 3/4 of the length of each silverware piece. Pin. Mark sewing lines for each piece with disappearing ink and stitch.
4. Cut a 1¼"x24" strip of fabric, fold in half. Bring edges to center, fold again and edge stitch. Stitch center to edge of silver keeper.
