Singer 4411 Heavy Duty Sewing Machine is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 30.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Give it a little time I got this machine to relieve my Singer 500A of some of its load. I set this one up out of the box, and pressed the pedal-SLOW DOWN TURBO!!! This machine needs a governor! I abandoned it and went back to the 500A which immediately started dropping stitches. (I think they were in cahoots) I had to go back to the 4411. After a couple days using it, I had the speed under control and the 4411 is sewing like a dream! I miss the openess of the 500A, and the light could be brighter and placed better, but overall, after spending a little time with it, this is a really good machine. I will use this for the heavy jobs, but I still favor my 500A(after it gets back from the doctor)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love it I make small fleece items for retail sale, backpacking equipment, and down quilts. The Singer 4411 is a useful machine, and an improvement over my Kenmore which was made in 1975. The Singer 4411 handles both multiple layers of ripstop nylon, delicate silicon nylon, and even nylon strapping with ease. AFTER learning what NOT to do, by gaining experience and skill in the past, on other machines, my new 4411 worked, right out of the box. Having plastic parts gave it a quite different 'feel' as opposed to older metal geared machines. But I have used machines with plastic gears in my shop, and they have all held up for many years, so I'm not concerned about the long term durability of the 4411

Rated 4 out of 5 by from A good upgrade, but a couple flaws I LOVE how quite this machine is. It's amazing compared to my 10 year old Brother sewing machine. It is fast, but not as fast as I expected. 1. Don't like how the thread top is sideways instead of straight up and down. Spool keeps sliding off as a result of the sideways thing. 2. Don't like how the presser foot is soo easy, comes off too easy actually. When I go to cut the thread in the back, if you accidently bump the lever pop off goes the presser foot. You woulda thought they'd think of that when they were making it. lol. Just got this yesterday, I sew 40+ hrs. a wk. for my business. I have 90 days to return, so I'm keeping the reciept just in case. So far, I've been pleased enough to keep it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from KSG Ibought this machine to sew on leather specifically. I was very hesitant in purchasing this machine because of some of the reviews I have read. I have a Bernina and a Memory Craft, but I did not want to sew on heavy leather with them. I just wanted a basic inexpensive non-compturized machine to use when I sew on leather. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised, as it sews through both light weight and heavier leather wih ease and the stitches look good and are tight, no bunching of thread, skipping of stitches or slipping of thread. I used a machine needle for leather and a heavier thread and it sews without hesitation. My only problem is that the bobbin dose not wind evenly, but I can always wind the bobbin on my other machines.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect I have been using this 4411 for some months. Both to sew fleece products for sale, and to make backpacking quilts. It is excellent for both fabric types. The machine sews ultra fine Pertex Momentum fabric with out puckering or complication. This fabric.... and silicon-nylon is very hard to sew on my old Kenmore. I have made some usual 'user mishaps' with the 4411, and it has gotten tangled up internally, but, it was my fault, the tangles were not difficult to remedy, and the machine has not missed a stitch due to abuse, or mis-adjustment. I do recommend using the right bobbin for this machine, the type 15 only. And starting the thread with a new bobbin was difficult at first, but, I looked at Singers video demonstration, and immediately discovered the right way to do it. I am buying another heavy duty Singer, the 4432 to use for my business.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pretty good little machine I have had this machine 5 mts got 40-50 hrs on it . I use it for heavier outdoor fabric and it works great. When I first got it I did have some issues but it was all due to the tension setting, once I reset all tensions its worked fine . This is a heavy duty home machine its not ment to be used on super heavy fabric day after day. This is my 4th singer in 30 yrs and so far its been pretty dang good. This machine paid for itself on the first tow projjects I did .

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love it Had mine 2 years now. it sews reliably with even clean stitches through 6 layers of denim when I need it too, and sheer curtain fabric with the decorator stitches when I want just as easily. Its not fancy, not computerized which for me is a Plus. but it does anything I want. I've done free motion embroidery on it now and love it

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect sewing machine for HD projects I bought this machine to handle simple projects involving heavy duty fabric such as vinyl and denim. It works perfectly and I could not be more pleased. I had read several reviews about this machine being difficult to work with and that has not been my experience. I read the instruction manual and I followed the set-up instructions exactly and it works like a charm. Great purchase!
