Very upset
I bought this machine a few weeks ago and now I am stuck with one that can't work. In the beginning the hand wheel was jammed and my father had to take it about to fix it. Noŵ it only creates holes with no string. Buy this at a different store if you really want it.

Don’t buy this sewing machine!
I bought this “heavy duty” Singer sewing machine in December, but did not open it and use it until late February. I wanted a machine that would sew faster so that I could complete more projects quicker. I was very disappointed. First of all it was much, much louder than my Brother machine. I couldn’t even hear the TV. Second, there was absolutely no time saved by the higher sewing speed bc it took more time to manually thread the needle, turn the wheel to get it to stop with the needle down to pivot/turn, and turn the wheel each time to manually raise the needle to remove the fabric. All this was time consuming and put a strain on my right hand and wrist. Then less than a month after I started using it, it lost all upper tension and kept looping and bird nesting under the fabric. I tried everything I could think of: checked the bobbin, re-threaded the machine, removed the plate and cleaned out the dust, etc. But to no avail. I don’t recommend this machine at all. It’s a total waste of money. I’m going back to my old Brother machine that may not sew as fast, but is quieter, has an automatic needle threader, has the option for stopping with the needle up/down so I rarely have to touch the hand wheel, and is also a lot easier to clean. This Singer is a piece of junk and I wish I could get my money back. It is not worth trying to get it fixed bc the Singer Center is so far away I would need to take a plane.

OK with 1 problem
I purchased 2 4111 heavy duty machines a few years ago. I have a problem with the plastic bobbin cover. It won't close correctly and keeps opening. I have had to tape the plastic cover on both sides. This is frustrating for me.

I’m so excited!
I bought a NECCHI several years ago and just hate it! I decided that my love for sewing is bigger than that, so I purchased the Singer Heavy Duty #4411. It is a simple machine with few choices and loads of power! I can’t wait to get started with it tomorrow!!!

Good machine but no manual
I like this sewing machine so far, it is frustrating that it does not come with a manual, the manual is online which is not handy when trying to also follow a crafting project video. However the video demonstrating use of the product was helpful.

Worst machine I have ever had
I cannot express enough how terrible this machine is. It constantly jams, bobbin knots up and tension is inconsistent. Stitch size does not hold with are sees crooked. I am an experienced sewer- have sewed for over 40 years and have never had so much trouble with a basic machine. The “heavy duty” is a joke as it stalls over thick areas. One project was fine but since then it has been a complete frustration. Total waste of money.
