Debbie Caffrey has been teaching quilting nationwide since 1983. She's taught at events such as International Quilt Festival (Houston, Rosemont and Long Beach), Minnesota Quilters Conference, The Road to California and many more. Debbie is the self-published author of 14 books on quilting, the designer of dozens of quilt patterns and more than 250 mystery quilt patterns. She has also contributed many articles to publications such as Traditional Quiltworks magazine, as well as appearing on both HGTV's "Simply Quilts" and QNNtv.com's "Quilter's Coffee."

Materials: What you Need

1 . Good-quality 100% cotton fabric for practicing
2 . Cotton thread for machine piecing
3 . Nylon invisible or smoke thread, metallics and decorative threads as desired
4 . 15" (38.1 cm) square ruler
5 . Long ruler (6" x 24" [15.2 x 61 cm], 8½" x 24" [21.6 x 61 cm], or similar)
6 . Circle ruler
7 . Wedge rulers made from the provided templates or purchased
8 . Compass
9 . Freezer paper (optional)
10 . Point turner/seam creaser 
11 . A quarter-inch presser foot or other presser foot that allows you to achieve a perfect ¼" (6 mm) seam allowance
12 . Clear or open-toe foot (helpful for some of the appliqué techniques)
