Soft N Comfy Dot Fabric is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 105.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from Soft and comfy fabric Dots I purchased this fabric to put on the back of a car seat cover in a blue. I have used "minky" before and I thought this was minky...immediately upon spreading it out to cut I could tell it was not minky and not close to the quality. I live a long way from any fabric store and decided to use it anyway..big mistake when I pressed the round corners as I do in all car seat tent covers it flattened out completely not more dots..others I have used with minky do not do this when pressing...I am going to return this to the store because of poor quality and if it says dots then the dots should not flatten with basic sewing construction procedures!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from What happened to this fabric?!? I have purchased countless yards of dotted minky fabric (or soft n comfy bubble fabric at Joann's.) I do love some of the shades of this fabric that Joann's now offers. I also love the new additions of colors they now offer. But it doesn't make up for how cheap and thin the fabric feels now. It used to have a plush pile to it and was in fact 'Soft and comfy'. While the fabric is still "soft" it is no longer as soft as it used to be. Previously the pile was long enough that if you ran your hand backwards against the grain, it was still soft. Now it's almost rough. I wish Joann's would put a little bit of the quality back into this fabric, so I can use it in my blankets and feel confident my customers will still love the blankets!

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Diffucult to sew I purchased the Soft & Comfy Dot fabric to make a robe but am having a horrible time trying to sew it. I have an expebnsive Pfaff sewing and embroidery machine that is really finicky about fabrics that shed a lot, so I assumed that the machine was the problem. I also have a cheap Pfaff with no bells and whistles, so I pulled that one out and tried it but it just doesn't want to sew the fabric either. I have changed needles thinking it might need a ballpoint needle, re-threaded both bobbin and spool thread but the needle thread keeps breaking. I am at my wits end trying to figure what my problem is. If anyone can help I would really appreciate it.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Demand must drive price! I agree with everyone this is a great fabric for blankets and baby/children's wear. I made a couple of pairs of pants for my 2 yr old and they are so cute and comfy soft. I just have a hard time paying the normal retail this fabric goes for, and assume it keeps its price due to its popularity. Glad to see it is on sale presently. I'm going to stock up! The color availability has been a problem, and like another reviewer stated, the "red" is NOT a true red. I found the red in the red tag clearance during a 50% sale, so I could not pass it up, but I suspected it was on clearance because of the color.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from A little disappointed I normally buy my minky fabric at another fabric store and absolutely love it. However, I ordered the light green online. It is super thin and you can hardly see the dimple dots. I decided to go ahead and use it for a customer's baby blanket. When I washed and dried the fabric, the dimples were gone! Completely flat! Not sure if the heat from the dryer did this or what! Don't buy this fabric if you plan to wash it! I will be buying my minky at the other fabric store from now on!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from sewing minkie I have found that if I iron wax paper on the back of the minkie fabric before I cut it it will not streach and is much easier to sew then just remove the paper. I always save my scraps from all of my projects and then make a snuggle blanket for myself.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from joann has horrible quality minky I make these blankets for a living and I will never purchase minky dot from Joann again. Although I buy many other fabrics from Joann minky dot is not one of them. Its very thin and cheap and feels /looks more like those fuzzy Lisa Frank color by numbers back in the day

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Light Blue Minky Problem I make a lot of in the hoop stuffed animals and had problems with the light blue minky I got from Joann's. It looks great until I stuff the animal and the dimples smooth out flat. I have to put minimal stuffing in to even see the dimples which does not make a good animal. I will be using what's left to make lovie blankets or projects that don't need stuffing. I've never had a problem with the other colors but learned that minky is not the same at every place you buy it! I love the color selections at Joann's though, and will test before I buy from now on!
