Notes
Clutch is worked from bottom up starting with 3 rows of sc in a long rectangle, then 2 rounds are worked to create shaping. Beginning at 6th round and continuing to top of bag work is created in spirals. Flap is crocheted separately, then sewn on.
To work with Sashay ribbon yarn, spread the yarn open with ladder edge at the top and wider metallic edge at the bottom. Trim the raw edge and fold over so that there will be a double layer of “boxes” through the first 5 stitches. Work into the 2nd row of boxes on the top edge of the ribbon. To create ruffling, work into first stitch and first boxes together, *skip next box, single crochet into next stitch and box together, repeat from * across.

Size:
Clutch measures 9" wide x 7" long x 1" deep
