    • CUT three 7-1/2" X WOF - sashing
    • SUB CUT thirty-four 2-1/2" x 7-1/2"- block sashing
    • SUB CUT four 4-1/2" x 7-1/2" - back end sashing

    DIRECTIONS:

      UNIT ASSEMBLY:
      Triangle Squares:
      Use the eight at a time Triangle Square Units method. Match one white square with one print square.
      Make thirty-two each print/solid white Triangle Squares
    1. Mark stitch lines using seam marker ruler and stitch on the marked lines.

    3. Cut along solid black lines. Press seams open.

      Now there are eight Triangle-Squares.

    BLOCK ASSEMBLY

    1. Lay out four half-triangle square as shown in the diagram and stitch together.
    2. Repeat to make seven Pin Wheel blocks from each print.
    3. Five blocks for the quilt front and two for the quilt back.

    QUILT ASSEMBLY

    1. Arrange the blocks as shown in the quilt front layout diagram.
    2. Add a 2 1/2" x 7-1/2" sashing strip between each of the blocks and stitch the blocks together in horizontal rows.
    3. Add a 2-1/2" x 43" sashing strip between each row and stitch the rows together.

    4. PRAIRIE POINT:
    5. Fold each 3-3/4" square in half diagonally. Fold in half diagonally again and press well.
    6. Make ten prairie points from each print

    PRAIRIE POINT BORDERS:

    1. Measure the Top edge of the quilt top and divide the measurement in half.
    2. Mark the center of the top border; use the measurement from step 1 to measure and mark from the center point to each end. The prairie points should end at this mark.
    3. Center one Prairie Pont over the center mark on the border with raw edges matching and pin in place.
    4. Alternate the prints and overlap the corners of the prairie points approx. 1/4" as shown in the diagram, pin thirteen prairie points for the top border. Repeat for the bottom border.
    5. Repeat for the side borders and use fifteen prairie points for each side.
    6. Pin the side borders in place with right sides together and stitch. Press the prairie points towards the border.
    7. Pin the top and bottom borders in place with right sides together and stitch. Press the prairie points towards the border.

      QUILT BACK:
    1. Arrange the blocks as shown in the quilt layout diagram to make two vertical rows.
    2. Add a 2-1/2" x 7-1/2" sashing strip between each of the blocks and stitch the blocks together in horizontal rows.
    3. Add a 4-1/2" x 7-1/2" back end-sashing strip at the top and bottom of each row.
    4. Pin a vertical row to each side of the backing fabric with right sides together and stitch.

    FINISHING:
    Layer the quilt top, batting, and backing. Quilt and bind as desired.
