Rated 1 out of 5 by from A dud - do not buy I was tired of using a knife to cut styrofoam so I decided to buy this styrofoam cutter. First of all it was supposed to come with 2 replacement wires - there is only one. Second, this thing is a dud - IT DOES NOT WORK. I have fresh Duracell batteries (exp date 2024) and ppphhhtttt. A total waste of money. Will just go back to the knife.

He is into making boats, primarily pontoon boats and I had also purchased some foam pieces for him to work with. He has made some watercraft, and being styrofoam they of course float. Keeps him busy on many rainy days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Buyer another To Andy ~ Some people aren't McGuyver, that's why they buy tools that do the job. Plus, the system you describe, while effective, is not safe. I have one of these for a project a long time ago and it helped tremendously. Since then it has been lent out so many times, I don't remember the last one to use it. So, I'm buying another one. But this time, I'll charge rent and I don't care if it's for a first grader's project!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cuts Styrofoam Cleanly I use this product to make scenery for my Department 56 villages. Using a knife or saw left a ton of foam flakes all over the place. This cutter makes for clean & neat edges at a fraction of the cost of other cutters. Why pay more for better quality
