DIRECTIONS:

Size:
Triangle Shawl measures 47" wide x 22" deep
GAUGE:
20 dc = 4" with thread held double.
CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size hook to obtain the gauge.

SHAWL
With thread held double, ch 8. Slip st in 6th ch from hook, ch 5, slip st in next ch, ch 3, dc in last ch. Turn.
Row 1: Ch 5, slip st in same ch-space, ch 5, slip st in next ch-space, ch 5 slip st in same ch-space (mark this ch-space), ch 5, slip st in last ch-space, ch 3, dc in same ch-space. Turn.
Rows 2-35: Ch 5, slip st in same ch-space, work (ch 5, slip st in next ch-space) to marked ch-space, ch 5, slip st in same ch-space (mark this ch-space), work (ch 5, slip st in next ch-space) to last ch-space, ch 5, slip st in last ch-space, ch 3, dc in same ch-space. Turn.

Edging
Row 1:
*Ch 1, (dc, ch 5, dc) in next ch-5 space; repeat from *, ending with sc in last ch-5 space. Turn.
Row 2: Slip st in first ch-5 space, ch 3, 4 dc in same ch-5-space, *skip next ch-1 space, 5 dc in next ch-5 space; repeat from *, ending with sc in beginning ch-1 of last row. Turn.
Row 3: *Ch 3, slip st in next dc, (skip next dc, ch 3, slip st in next dc) twice; repeat from * to end. Fasten off.
