SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Bernat® Blanket Brights™ (10.5 oz/300 g; 220 yds/201 m), 3 balls: Pixie Pink (A)
  • Bernat® Baby Blanket™ (10.5 oz/300 g; 220 yds/201 m): Lemon Lime (B), 1 ball; White (C), 2 balls
  • Size U.S. 11 (8 mm) circular knitting needle 40" [101.5 cm] long or size needed to obtain gauge.
 

  • DIRECTIONS:
    • MEASUREMENTS
    • Approximately 50" x 60" [127 x 152.5 cm].

    • GAUGE
    • 8-1/2 sts and 16 rows = 4" [10 cm] in garter stitch.
    • With A, cast on 2 stitches (sts). Working back and forth across needle in rows, proceed as follows:
    • 1st row: Increase 1 stitch by knitting into front and back of next stitch
    • (Kfb). Knit 1 (K1). 3 sts.
    • 2nd row: (Right Side - RS). K1. (Kfb) twice. 5 sts.
    • 3rd row: Knit.
    • 4th row: K1. Kfb. K1. Kfb. K1. 7 sts.
    • 5th row: Knit.
    • 6th row: K1. Kfb. Knit to last 2 sts. Kfb. K1.
    • 7th row: Knit.
    • Repeat (rep) 6th and 7th rows to 113 sts on needle, ending on a wrong side (WS) row. Break A.
    • With B, rep 6th and 7th rows to 135 sts on needle, ending on a WS row. Break B.
    • With C, rep 6th and 7th rows to 149 sts on needle ending on a WS row. Place marker at end of last row.
    • Work sides even as follows:
    • Next row: (RS). K1. Kfb. Knit to last 3 sts. Knit next 2 stitches together (K2tog). K1.
    • Next row: Knit.
    • Rep last 2 rows until work from marker measures 10” [25.5 cm], ending on a WS row.
    • Decrease (dec) as follows:
    • Next row: (RS). K1. K2tog. Knit to last 3 sts. K2tog. K1.
    • Next row: Knit.
    • Rep last 2 rows to 135 sts on needle, ending on a WS row. Break C.
    • With B, rep last 2 rows to 113 sts on needle, ending on a WS row. Break B.
    • With A, rep last 2 rows until 3 sts remain (rem).
    • Next row: Knit next 3 stitches together (K3tog).
    • Fasten off.
