    FISKERS PERSONAL TRIMMER

    THIS IS THE THIRD BRAND OF TRIMMER I HAVE OWNED AND THIS ONE SURPASSES ALL OTHERS. THE MARKINGS ARE PROTECTED UNDER THE PLASTIC SO THEY DO NOT WEAR OFF. THE WIRE CUTTER HELPS CONSERVE PAPER AND IMAGES BY SHOWING WHERE THE BLADE WILL CUT. THE LOCK ON THE CUTTER PREVENTS IT FROM OPENING WHILE TRAVELING. A GREAT BUY FOR THE PRICE.

    I love this trimmer! I have had no trouble with the wire. And my cuts always come out straight! I am planning on getting another one of these while they are 50% off!

    Update to previous review: Don't know why my ratings do not show up on the first one, but they weren't good. However, after reading reviews on this cutter I wrote the company about the bad wire. They promptly sent me out a new cutting bar to replace the one with the frayed wire. I really like this cutter and hope this one will last. 5 stars to Fiskars for excellent customer service! I would rate the trimmer 5 stars also, but there is the wire issue.

     

    Not a good purchase

    I bought this product to replace my cricut trimmer but I made a mistake! this is the second trimmer I buy from Fiskars. The wire still there but it does not cut straight lines...I thought that maybe I wasn't aligning the paper correctly so I decided to test by folding a paper in half and trim it but to my surprise the cut was not straight! I kept it because when I found out it was too late to return. My cricut trimmer does a better job than this one, I just need to buy a new blade. Fiskars might be good with scissors but not very good with trimmers.

    Within 6 months the wire started to shred. It doesn't cut straight if you use the top edge to align. I have to eyeball it and hold the paper carefully along one of the lines to get it straight.

     

    Loved it while it lasted

    I have had 2 of these trimmers. Originally I loved it, but within about of month of owning it, the wire broke. I returned the original and then the second one, the wire broke 2 weeks later. Before the wire breaks, it is a good portable trimmer that cuts clean and crisp. I just want it to work and not break.
