This crochet hook is the perfect marriage of Susan Bates in-line crochet hook and warm bamboo handle. Long appreciated by needlecrafters for it's silky smoothness and elegant appearance, bamboo implements are the ultimate in luxury. These bamboo crochet hooks are a dream to use
I crocheted for 40 years before I decided to try these. Now I can't imagine not using them. I lost my bamboo H hook, and must use my old style hook until I can replace it. The difference is truly amazing. The bamboo is easier on the hand. You won't be disappointed. You'll wonder why you didn't invest in a set of these a lot sooner.
This is the first time I used this type of hook. What a difference! It has given so much relief to my once aching hand. Now I can take my time and crochet and not stop early because of pain. I will get more of the sizes for sure.
I own several sizes of these hooks, and they are wonderful! I'm in my 40's, and my hands don't quite feel like they used to, and these hooks allow me to crochet to my heart's content. MUCH easier to hold than a narrow regular hook. I plan on getting all sizes.
I just bought several of these hooks in different sizes. My hand hurts after hours of crocheting. I LOVE THEM!!! THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE BEST HOOKS EVER!!!! I have some with the soft grips and some grips I purchased to put on my hooks. Those grips are worthless! I will use these only from now on!!! THANK YOU FOR THE SALE TOO!!! A+++++++ =)
I agree--the bamboo handles allow for a much easier and and more comfortable time crocheting. I picked them up just because they were different--I'm glad I did. I liked them. I gave some to my sister--I did not know she was having any trouble with pain while crocheting. She told me a couple months later that she does not get pain in her wrist when she uses these. Besides this factor, I like Susan Bates Hooks because, bamboo handle or no bamboo handle, they are not so pointy on the underside of the hook and I don't get "hung-up" or split my yarn as easily as with some other hooks. So I recommend Susan Bates hooks.
I have crocheted for many years and until I found the Susan Bates bamboo handled hooks my hands would hurt and cramp after crocheting for a short time. Now I can crochet for hours without any pain. I still have my old hooks but don't plan to ever use them again. Thanks so much for these wonderful hooks.
I have been using the bamboo handled crochet hooks for 2 or 3 years now. I first saw them after my carpal tunnel surgery. I first purchased an "H" and an "I" to try to see if I could work with it. Because I usually have 5 or 6 different crocheting projects going at a time, I have since purchased at least 3 of each size needle that has the bamboo handles; some sizes I have 5 or 6. My old needles have become back-ups only. I LOVE THE BAMBOO HANDLED CROCHETING NEEDLES!!!
I was diagnosed with rheumatoid arthirtis Summer 2006. I did not think I would ever be able to crochet again. In the last few months, I took out my old hooks and gave it a try. My fingers ached so much that I gave up. I saw the bamboo hooks and thought, well, why not give it one final try...I finished two scarfs, one granny square lap quilt, and am working on a third scarf. I don't know if I'll get back to quilting, but being able to crochet has given me back the ability to release the stress of my hectic work day. Thank You!!!
