SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • 1 skein TLC® Baby Yarn, Neapolitan Multi.
  • Crochet hook H-8 or size to obtain gauge
  • Yarn needle
    GAUGE: 15 sts = 4"; 12 rows = 4" hdc.

DIRECTIONS: Pattern is written for smallest size with changes for larger sizes in parentheses. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. Circle numbers pertaining to size before beginning. Finished chest: 18" (19", 20", 21"). Finished length: 7" (8", 8 1/2", 9"). Sweater is worked from the shoulder seam down for both the front and back. Ch 2 does not count as first stitch.

BACK: Ch 82 (86, 96, 102).
Row 1 (RS): Hdc in 2nd ch from hook & each ch across – 80 (84, 94, 100) hdc.
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across. Rep Row 2 until piece measures 3 1/2" (3 1/2", 4", 4") from beginning, end with a WS row. Fasten off.

BODY:
Row 1: With RS facing, skip 23 (24, 28, 30) sts & join yarn in next st, ch 2, hdc in same st and in next 33 (35, 37, 39) sts, leave remaining sts unworked.
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across – 34 (36, 38, 40) hdc. Rep Row 2 until piece measures 7" (8", 8 1/2", 9") from beginning. Fasten off.

LEFT FRONT:
Row 1: With RS facing and working along opposite edge of foundation ch, join yarn with slip st in first ch of foundation ch, ch 2, hdc in next 34 (36, 41, 44) sts, leave remaining sts unworked.
Rows 2-4: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across – 34 (36, 41, 44) sts.

SHAPE NECK: Row 5: Ch 2, turn, work 2 hdc in first st, hdc in each st across.
Row 6: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st to last st, 2 hdc in last st. Rep last 2 rows twice more – 40 (42, 47, 50) sts. Work even until Left Front measures 3 1/2" (3 1/2", 4", 4") from foundation ch, end with WS row. Fasten off.

BODY: With RS facing, skip 23 (24, 28, 30) sts, join yarn in next st, ch 2, hdc in same st and each st across.
Row 2: Ch 2, turn, hdc in each st across – 17 (18, 19, 20) hdc. Rep Row 2 until piece measures 7" (8", 8 1/2", 9") from beginning. Fasten off.

RIGHT FRONT: With RS facing and working along opposite edge of foundation ch, skip next 12 sts along foundation ch, join yarn in next st, ch 2, hdc in same st and each st across. Work as for Left Front to Body, reversing shaping. Do not fasten off.

BODY: Ch 2, turn, hdc in 17 (18, 19, 20) sts, leave remaining sts unworked.
Work even until piece measures 7" (8", 8 1/2", 9") from beginning. Fasten off.
Sew sleeve and side seams, leaving last 3 rows at bottom edge unsewn for side vents.

BODY EDGING:
Rnd 1: With RS facing, join yarn in side seam with sc, sc evenly around lower, front and neck edges, working 3 sc in each corner, join with slip st to first sc.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in back loop of each st around, working 3 sc in each corner, join with slip st to first sc.
Rnd 3: Slip st in back loop of each st around, join with slip st to first st. Fasten off.

SLEEVE EDGING: Join yarn at Sleeve seam. Work as for Body Edging. Weave in ends.
