This product advertises 45". So I calculated the amount of material I would need based on this number. I prewashed it proceeded, only to find out that the width was NOT 45" but 42 1/4". It threw the whole quilt off and I had to take two rows off to accommodate My 45" material as I was 100 miles away from a JoAnn's and unable to buy more material to add in a third panel to make it the width I needed for the backing. I was ssssoooooo disappointed in JoAnn's.
I love symphony! I have never had a bad bolt, I have never had it pucker, it is always good quality. I sell in craft fairs for a living, and this is my go to fabric for many projects. From quilting, to pillow cases, embroidery, to even some baby clothes and kitchen projects. Minor shrinkage, no bleeding, no pilling. Soft and wears well. Great for the money.
I used this material making blouses that I get lots of wear, easy to wash and little ironing required. I have used to make pillowslips lots of crafts. What material is being rated when they say it puckers and is too thin?
I've had trouble with this fabric bleeding when prewashed. I sell my items on my web site and have had many areas of fabric I could not use, do to bleeding, especially the flamingo and light blue. Of course I sell mostly the flamingo fabric and go through bolts of it. You can't beat the quality for the price. A very good value.
When is this product coming on sale again. This is no doubt the wrong forum for this. It is an excellent value for the money However on sale, it is a great, great bargain
I've used this fabric for making baby clothes and quilting and have never had a problem with it.
I bought total of 9 yards of this fabric in yellow, orange and green. I used it in quilting and for making pillowcases. I had no issues with it whatsoever. Many people say that blends should not be used for quilting. Be that as it may, I love quilting but I cannot afford to spend money on premium cotton. This works just fine for me. i usually wait for sales, and buy it for $1.99. Seriously, you cannot ask for perfection for that amount of money, but i think that the price is right. I did not notice huge flaws in the fabric, a minor snag here and there is fine for me since I will quilt righ over it. My quilts are very utilitarian and get dragged everywhere by my kids and dogs. This fabric wears very well.
Bought it in the store. Good fabrics at a good price. I wash it in cold water and the shrinkage is good.
