SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Red Heart® Team Spirit™: 1 skein each, Red/Grey A & Purple/Gold B
  • Susan Bates® Double-Pointed Needles: One set 5mm [US 8]
  • Yarn needle, stitch marker
  • Pint (16-ounce) glass Mason Jars (2)
GAUGE: 16 sts = 4" [10 cm]; 24 rounds = 4" [10 cm] in St st. CHECK YOUR GAUGE. Use any size needles to obtain the gauge.

DIRECTIONS:

    • The Cozies are to fit Mason Jars snuggly so the jars do not slip out. The Bind Off edge will be tighter than the Cast On edge.

    • NOTES:
    • RED HEART® TEAM SPIRIT™ is a two-color self-striping yarn. The yarn creates different, random stripes; no two Cozies will be alike.
    • Cozies are worked in the Round on Double-Pointed Needles from the bottom up.
    • Cozies fit regular Pint (16-ounce) glass Mason Jars.

    • RED/GREY VERSION A (make 1): With A, cast on 30 sts. Arrange stitches evenly around three double-pointed needles. Join, being careful not to twist sts. Place marker for beginning of Round.
    • Rounds 1-6: K1, P1 to end of Round.
    • Rounds 7-31: Knit every Round until piece measures 5" [13 cm] from cast on edge.
    • Rounds 32-37: K1, P1 to end of Round.
    • Next Round: Bind off all sts loosely.

    • PURPLE/GOLD VERSION B (make 1)
    • With B, cast on 30 sts.
    • Round 32-37: K1, P1 to end of Round.
    • Next Round: Bind off all sts loosely.

    • FINISHING: Weave in ends, slip Cozies over Mason Jars.
