Rated 4 out of 5 by from Love it Picked up this machine while wasting time waiting on hubby. After several attempts on different tables in the house i finally found the correct table and am knitting up a storm. The table MUST be leveled, no warps or bumps, not by eyeballing it, i used a level from the tool box.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from This machine does work! I've been knitting on these machines for over 20 years and have made many beautiful items on them. I see a lot of people have had problems so here is some advice. You do need a table to clamp it to. You MUST make sure you have plenty of yarn loose and free to knit each row. Center pull skeins work best. Start out with Caron Simply Soft yarn. It glides thru the machine. Later you'll bee using all knids of yarn. Do watch the videos and work thru each project in the book in order. I know you can't wait to make that cabled cardigan but trust me on this. Each project will teach a new skill and you'll have the satisfaction of having completed projects to keep you going.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from I love this machine! I was a little worried when I first tried to use the machine. It took me a few hours to get the hang of everything... but then, I was able to make a full size afghan in a day. So fast, so easy. You just need to take the time and learn abou the machine. I look forward to many more exciting projects on this little wonder.

Rated 0 out of 5 by from not worse the money I ordered this for myself for christmas. To say i was dissapointed is an under statement.I tried 3 different tables, with boards, with the included mat, without. The clamps don't hold it,and if you tighten it too much the whole machine pops off the table. The Cartridge got hung up more times then i care to remember.I tried for a week and have it packed up now to ship back.I loose my shipping, but better then having another useless machine collecting dust.I gues i will get back to my hand knittng.

Rated 0 out of 5 by from Not worth it at any price I bought it because it was on sale and thought it would save me some time with long swaths of stst.No really, zero stars. The machine itself? It's plastic and supposed to clamp to a table. You run a carriage over the needles and it's supposed to knit. Except that half of the needles stick, then jam because there is too much yarn in them. Then when you try to fix this, the needles are in the wrong position to try to replace the carriage. I think the best part of knitting with it was when it kept coming off of the table because the clamps are too cheap to hold it in place properly. There is nothing to stop you from pressing too hard on the machine and sliding it right off the clamps. Save your money and run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from rocky start but I got it I find that if you are using red heart yarn espicially to learn with you will have trouble so I switched to acrilic and vwla it worked like a charm great little machine

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Takes some time to knit perfectly on machine I absolutely love my sweater machine. I have had it for years and have made sweaters, ponchos, wraps, vests, and purses. Starting our, go VERY slowly and take your time. Check out videos on Utube for help. Also you should call the manufacturer Bond-America for help if you continue to have problems. Also check out their website. They are glad to help. I do LOVE my machine, in fact, I bought one from a donation centerjust to make sure I could khave the parts for it if ever I needed it. Keep trying, it DOES work.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Disappointing. Well, people seem to either love this or hate it, and to my disappointment I have to come down on the negative side. Maybe some of us just get defective machines? Parts won't stay in place, the quality is terrible, following the instructions to a T doesn't help (I'm using a level, for heaven's sake! and even so!), and after 5 hours I still can't get the carriage not to jam almost immediately. Maybe 1/10th of the USMs are somehow flawed? How else to explain the incredible divergence of opinion on this thing?
