Acid-free, fast-drying transparent dye inks specially formulated to create a colorful, polished stone effect. Use on glossy paper, dominoes, metal, shrink plastic, glass, and other slick surfaces. The rich, realistic earthtones are permanent and fade resistant.
The manufacturer's suggested retail price for a single bottle of Adirondack alcohol ink is only $3.49 and you mark it up to $4.99 so you can show a discount that is really not that much discount. Shameful.
Great products like all other Tim Holtz/Ranger prodcuts. Very versatile in its uses. PS: What's up with Joann's prices all of a sudden? How can one bottle cost $4.99 reg price when the set of 3 is $9.99 reg price?
Discovered this product on the Vintaj blog when learning how to work with their brass metal blanks (also available at Joann's) Very easy to use, very vibrant colors which can be toned down with the mixatives and the blender. I have purchased two sets and eagerly purchasing more sets each pay period so I can have more to play with. Down side is the price...best to get them when on sale or with a coupon.
You have the moonploy on useful information—aren't monopolies illegal? ;)
Buy on sale if possible to cut the cost. I did. You can make very interesting marbling sort of effects using blending solution. They're great for background papers and on metals, glass, and plastic. I recommend you search online for tips and techniques. Tim Holtz has a demonstration video on U-Tube.
I am so happy i learned about these! They add so much interest to a project and so easy easy easy to use! Not to mention, it's fun creating your own designs and colors and effects! You will not be disappointed with these at all!
These inks are fantastic. Vibrant and oh so nice to work with. Easy to use. I have every color and use them frequently to create unique one of a kind backgrounds for cards and scrapbooking pages. POLISHED STONE technique is my favorite use. but can be used in a myriad of ways!
