Rated 3 out of 5 by from almost returned The quality of the stamp is perfect but the description of the item is misleading as other reviewers previously stated (and I obviously didn't read!) I almost returned the stamp because I couldn't see how having an alphabet background stamp would be useful and also because I thought I received a defective item. I've bought stamp sets before that had to be cut apart and I DID NOT want to go through that again. I went to the website of the company that makes the stamps and in their description of it, they clearly state it is one solid stamp. What convinced me to keep it was a sample of how someone successfully used it (stamping and cutting the letters apart) Eh. I suppose. I just wish I'd read the reviews and that Joann would provide more and accurate descriptions of the items they sell.

Use as a background stamp, as described by another reviewer, or as intended: Stamp the entire alpha, then trim out the stamped letters you need. Fussy cut or trim in rectangle boxes! Rated 4 out of 5 by from NOT A SET...SINGLE STAMP These images are very nice, however, it is NOT a "set", but a SINGLE stamp. If you were REALLY ambitious, I suppose you could cut it apart, but I don't think that was the intention...It is a background stamp. Also, the cling rubber face is blank, so hard to align and be sure you are straight on the page. I'll use it by inking ONLY the letters I need, individually. Nice quality, but just not what I was expecting as a "set".
