  • Duck Tape® duct tape: Cosmic Tie-Dye, Totally Tie-Dye
  • Scissors
  • Two 1/2" dia. dowel rods
  • Yardstick
  • Wire cutters
  • Pen

DIRECTIONS:
1. Build one 11"x21" sheet of Duck Tape® fabric with Totally Tie-Dye on one side & Cosmic Tie-Dye on the reverse. Trim edges.

2. Lay the Duck Tape® fabric sheet down; place the yardstick diagonally across it. Draw a straight line from one corner to the other. Cut straight up this line to form two triangles. Place them back to back, forming a larger triangle with the point facing down & the flat part at the top. Tape the pieces up the middle using Totally Tie-Dye on one side & Cosmic Tie-Dye on the other.

3. Build one 11"x10 sheet of Duck Tape® fabric with Totally Tie-Dye on 1 side & Cosmic Tie-Dye on the reverse. Trim edges.

4. Lay the Duck Tape® fabric sheet down and place the yardstick diagonally cross it. Draw a straight line from one corner to the other. Cut straight up this line to form two triangles. Place triangles back to back to form a larger triangle with the point facing up & the flat part at the bottom. Tape the triangle pieces up the middle using Totally Tie-Dye on 1 side & Cosmic Tie-Dye on the other. Tape top triangle to larger bottom triangle to form the kite shape.

5. Center one dowel rod vertically on the kite. Use wire cutters to trim the rod to the exact length of the kite. Lay the 2nd dowel rod horizontally across the widest part of the kite. Trim the rod to the exact width of the kite. Use Totally Tie-Dye or Cosmic Tie-Dye tape over the corners of the dowel rods to secure.

6. To make streamers, build a 13" sheet of Duck Tape® fabric with Totally Tie-Dye on one side and Cosmic Tie-Dye on the reverse. Trace 3 rolls of Duck Tape® onto this sheet and cut them out. Cut a swirl pattern in each circle, beginning at the outer edge. Tape the 3 streamers to the bottom of the kite with Duck Tape®.
