Tulip® Custom Color Lab Cotton Yarn Lace Weight is rated 3.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 1 out of 5 by from LOVE the idea.. but, what a tangled nightmare I bought 2 of these hanks. Lace weight yarn should never be sold in a hank in my opinion. I spent over 4 hours trying to detangle the first hank. Then I put it down and decided to just start on the other one and it was the same nightmare tangled mess. I'm still working on detangling the mess. Very disappointed. I've been crocheting for over 23 years and knitting for 3 years. I've worked with every weight of yarn in almost as many different fibers. Never had such a huge tangled mess before. On the plus side if you can actually detangle the mess, the yarn itself is just lovely. It's so soft and delicate. I absolutely love it and it dyes beautifully. I chose the same brand Color Lab dye in "Modern" (goes from yellow to robin egg blue, pool blue and stormy grey) and I LOVE it. I tried variegated and gradient (self-striping) and I'm in love with both. I can wait to get it on my hooks / needles. A helpful hint is try another brand of cotton / cotton blend in DK with the color lab dye. Or get a pre-balled lace weight yarn and dye it in a sock blank vs. dying loose yarn. I gave a 1 star because spending 10+ hours detangling yarn is no fun. :/
