This Tie Dye Kit will dye up to 2-8 large shirts depending on darkness of color. Brightest on natural fibers like cotton and rayon, but can be used on cotton/polyester blend fabrics. Great for clothes like shirts, socks, hats, bags or home decor items, like pillows and cushion covers.
I love this dye! I've bought all 3 boxes of the different colors and love them all, the red has been known to fade a bit, but the other colors are wonderful. I'm here buying it again to tie dye infant onesies.
My kids (ages 8 and 4) and I bought two of these, the primary colors and the kit with Turquoise, Fushia, and Yellow. We had a great time with this kit. It was so easy to use. The colors came out beautifully. The downfalls are 1) the instructions are lacking. Especially how to "tie" the shirts, and 2, although the kits come with "gloves" it is 1 pair per kit, and very poor quality. The downfalls are easily remedied with a quick trip to the pharmacy for "Doctor's gloves" and a trip to the library or internet for better tie-ing directions.
We used this product for a tie-dye birthday party and had 25 people dying shirts. It was messy but with newspaper on the floor of the garage clean up was a breeze. We also used the kits at an adult leadership meeting tie-dye party and had about 15 of us dying shirts and other things. We did the same as the birthday party and everyone shirts came out great. We substituted with rit dye and that dye lightened up after rinsing whereas the Rainbow brand stayed bright after many washings.
