SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Wilton® foodcrafting supplies:
    • Candy Melts Candy: Red (3 oz. makes 9 treats), Orange (3 oz. makes 9 treats), Light Cocoa (3 oz. makes 9 treats), Yellow (3 oz. makes 9 treats), White (1 oz. makes 25 sets of eyes)
    • 6" Lollipop Sticks
    • 12" Disposable Decorating Bags
    • Maple Leaf Candy Mold
  • Food-safe scissors

DIRECTIONS:

1. Make candy leaves. Melt red, yellow and orange Candy Melts candy, separately, according to package directions. Reserve some melted red and yellow candy. Use lollipop stick to lightly stir colors together to marble by drawing lines in mixture. Do not over mix. Use marbleized melted candy in cut disposable decorating bag to fill candy mold. Allow to cool in refrigerator until set, 10 to 15 minutes. Unmold according to mold package directions.
2. Decorate candy leaves. Melt light cocoa and white Candy Melts candy, separately, according to package directions. Use melted light cocoa candy in cut disposable decorating bag to pipe dot turkey body, 1/2" dia., and head, 1/4" dia., on candy leaves. Allow to cool in refrigerator, about 3 to 5 minutes. Use reserved melted yellow candy in cut disposable decorating bag to pipe beak. Use reserved melted red candy in cut disposable decorating bag to pipe wattle. Use melted white candy in cut disposable decorating bag to pipe eyes. Allow to cool in refrigerator, about 3 to 5 minutes. Use melted light cocoa candy in cut disposable decorating bag to pipe pupils. Allow to cool in refrigerator, about 3 to 5 minutes.
3. Assemble candy lollipops. Use melted candy in cut disposable decorating bag to attach lollipop stick to back of candy leaves. Allow to cool in refrigerator until set, about 5 to 10 minutes.

PROJECT TIP:

Use the turkey candy lollipops as a topper for autumn cakes. Or, use scissors to shorten the lollipop sticks before attaching candy turkeys to be inserted into a cupcake.
