Tweedy Braid Scarf

- Deborah Norville Collection Serenity Chunky Tweeds for Premier Yarns® (100gm/109 yds)
- Claret – 3 balls
- Knitting needles US Size 13 (10 mm) or size needed to obtain gauge
- Tapestry needle
- Cable needle
- Pompom maker
- Tape measure
60” long x 6” wide
12 sts x 14 rows = 4” in St st

Cable Braid (multiple of 12 sts)
Row 1 (RS): Knit.
Row 2 and all WS rows: Purl.
Row 3: Slip 7 sts onto cn and hold to back, k7, k7 from cn, k7.
Rows 5, 7, 9, 11: Knit.
Row 13: K7, Slip 7 sts onto cn and hold to front, k7, k7 from cn.
Rows 15, 17, 19, 21: Knit. Rep Rows 3-22 for patt.
Cast on 12 sts. Work in Cable Braid until scarf measures 60”, ending with either Row 10 or Row 20 of patt. Bind off all sts.
Make 2, 3” pompoms. Gather each end of the scarf and sew a pompom to each end. Weave in all ends.
