Love it!
I am using this fabric for sound panels in my music studio. It's attractive to the eye and it has a sheen to it. It looks like pleather but it looks great. What I like most about this material is that it's thin, yet strong enough to be stretched around wood and it's very forgiving. You can can fold this material however you'd like to get the look you're looking for.

Not what it used to be
I have been buying this fabric for years, in stores or online. Unfortunately, the same name, the same SKU but the fabric is different. It is slightly sticky on the right side so the machine is not moving it as smoothly as with the previous version. The wrong side used to be the suede looking black finish that now is a gray polyester fabric. This new version is thinner too. It works for what I need, but the quality of my finish product is worse because of this. Disappointed.

Solft Leather-like Material
This material was soft, has a little stretch and very easy to work with. It is more pliable and thinner than other vinyl materials. Ideally if it was a bit thicker, it would be even better, but it still good as-is. The backing is a cream color cotton blend and neither the front or back of the fabric frayed, shed or came apart when cutting. (Not sure why one of the negative reviews said backing was textured black?) I used it to recover several recliners and they turned out great. The fabric was durable to work with through stapling (removing missed staples & re-stapling), nail tack, spray glue and hand sewing. (Didn't rip) Can't comment on durability... only time will tell how it holds up.

This item is not listed correctly in the explanation of it. It is stated that the back of this fabric is 71% leather and 29% polyester. In the past is was but now it came to me with a white polyester maybe cotton backing.

Nice Soft Texture but Sheds like crazy
I purchased 6 yards of this bonded black vinyl. It feels so soft and has the texture of leather. I was amazed at the quality, until I started a project. The backing is black and textured. It crumbled each time I cut the fabric. My entire work surface has black looking dirt on everything. Paying such a high price for bonded vinyl has disappointed me. I dread sewing with it, it will get in every crack of my sewing machine. I had to change clothes and shower after 30 minutes of cutting out a project. The cleanup was miserable. I don't know it's old vinyl, but the backing is so disappointing. I won't be buying more. I do not recommend this vinyl.

Fabric contaminated with glitter
The upholstery fabric I ordered was contaminated with pink glitter all over it- glitter sticks to everything and is difficult to remove and now there are little sparkles of pink glitter everywhere in my house.
