    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Warm and squishy This is my second time purchasing this batting. It is thick and warm, just right for winter quilts. It must be quilted at least every 2-3 inches for it to not fall apart which I learned the hard way with another project. But if quilted closely ( I used a cheater cloth and followed the “squares”) after washing it became a lofty, squishy beautiful fabric. This time I’m tackling a larger product and hope it will turn out just as good.

It is thicker than the typical Warm and Natural Batting. It is also very warm. Just a hint, Company suggests that adhesive spray NOT be used on this product. I use pins very successfully.

    Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Product..... Good product, just a poor choice on my part for my project. Cotton batting may be warm but it is also very heavy. I think polyester batting would have been a better choice for me. However, if warmth is your primary objective, this batting is very good.

    Rated 5 out of 5 by from Why is it only available for a limited time? I'm a big fan of the Warm and Plush batting. It has a slightly thicker loft than the regular Warm and Natural, but is still 100% cotton. But, it says on the package that The Warm Company only offers it for a "limited time." One other note, before I tried this for the first time, I noticed a review that talked about using this batting with a basting spray: someone tried it, it made a big mess and they eventually learned from The Warm Co. that you are not to use this particular basting with a basting spray. Apparently, the batting exterior (because of the way it's made to make it "Plush" and not due to added adhesives) will grab the quilt top and backing much better than typical batting. If I'd not seen this review, I would've made the same mistake. Fortunately, I did see it and verified this online before I used it, because it does NOT tell you this on the package! Hopefully, my review will save someone else this headache. I will say that it is "gripier" batting, which makes it easier to baste, etc., but I would still recommend some sort of pin basting, especially if you'll be quilting it on your home machine.
