doesn't "wipe off" like it says
The trick to sharpening this pencil is to use a blade. Use a pencil sharpener, and you will lose the lead or whatever it's called. I realized this after I had already lost half the pencil. I mostly use it to grid my aida. I tested it on a piece of aida, and it didn't wipe off as it said it would. the mark is still there, just not as dark. Hope it will wash off in the washer because I just finished gridding a project that has a lot of white for the background. it needs instructions on the package, saying to use a blade to sharpen.

Dosn't work
Bought this to mark a quilt top with dark blue and green fabric and marks were not visible.

Doesn't mark well and lead falls out.
This pencil didn't mark the fabric well at all. Also, the lead fell out. I sharpened the pencil, hoping for the best, but the lead fell out again. I want to return it, but not sure it's worth digging up the receipt.

Love this product, must have
I’ve had nothing but wonderful experiences using this product. Solid and bold enough marks to clearly see on most fabrics. Also I found it to be incredibly smudge resistant as well. Awesome a little bit of water it is super easy to remove. Presidents of the marking is where I was worried I wouldn’t be able to wash out all traces however I was pleasantly surprised all I needed was a damp towel in most cases to remove the mark completely.

Does not come off of fabric
I used this marking pencil on an off white polyester fabric and it dies not remove with water, even after several attempts, the pencil markings are still as visible as they were before.
