Description

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Tulip® Fabric Spray Paint™: Asphalt, Christmas Red, Neon Orange, Neon Green
  • Tulip® Slick Dimensional Fabric Paint: Black, True Red
  • Aleene’s® Fast Grab™ Tacky Glue®
  • Colored plastic tableware: orange, red, green, black
  • Pipe cleaners: red, lime, black
  • Google eyes
  • Styrofoam™ balls: 1-1⁄4"-1-1⁄2"
  • Large cocktail-size toothpicks
  • Small Styrofoam™ block or cardboard box to hold toothpick with toppers

DIRECTIONS:

PUMPKIN
1. Use the side of the toothpick to score segment lines.
2. Insert toothpick on bottom of ball; spray it Neon Orange. Allow to dry.
3. Press google eyes into foam ball to dent. Use Tacky Glue to adhere google eyes in indentations.
4. Cut small piece of green pipe cleaner & twist to curl a bit. Insert into top of pumpkin for stem.
5. Use Black dimensional paint to draw nose & mouth. Allow to dry.

DEVIL:
1. Insert toothpick into ball; spray it Christmas Red. Allow to dry.
2. Press google eyes into foam ball to dent. Use Tacky Glue to adhere google eyes in indentations.
3. Cut a very small piece of black pipe cleaner & form a “V”. Insert to create angry eyebrows.
4. Cut 2 small pieces of red pipe cleaner. Insert on sides for devil’s horns.
5. Draw mouth with Black dimensional paint. Allow to dry.

ALIEN:
1. Insert toothpick into ball; spray it Neon Green. Allow to dry.
2. Press google eyes into foam ball to dent. Use Tacky Glue to adhere google eyes in indentations.
3. Cut small pieces of lime pipe cleaner for antennae & arms. Pinch ends under to avoid the sharp ends of wire.

SPIDER:
1. Insert toothpick into ball; spray it Asphalt. Allow to dry.
2. Press google eyes into foam ball to dent. Use Tacky Glue to adhere google eyes in indentations.
3. Cut 8 pieces of black pipe cleaner. Bend to make legs; pinch sharp tips under. Insert into spider body.
4. Draw red hourglass on back with True Red dimensional paint. Allow to dry.
5. Carefully skewer the ends of the utensils into the bottoms of the balls with the utensil handles. Squeeze some Tacky Glue into the slits; press in the utensils. Allow to dry.
