U.S. Shipping Timelines
Most orders are processed within 2-3 days. Express and Express Plus orders will be processed on the same day if they are placed by 11:00am ET on a business day. Orders placed after 11:00am ET will be processed on the following business day. Please see Shipping Restrictions for exclusions.
- For STANDARD DELIVERY, Delivery time is 7-10 business days. For Alaska, Hawaii, or APO/FPO Orders, please allow 20-30 Business Days.
- For EXPRESS, Delivery time is 3 business days.
- Or EXPRESS PLUS, Delivery time is 2 business days.
Please allow an additional day for orders placed on weekends, holidays, or after 11:00am ET.

Fabric orders are hand cut and may require additional processing time during special sales and holidays.

Shipping FAQs
- Q: What types of shipping class services do you offer?
- A: We offer three delivery methods: Standard 7 Business Day via FedEx and Smartpost, 3 Day Express and 2 Day Express Plus Service.
- To estimate shipping, simply add items to your cart. Then enter the ship-to state and select a shipping method from the dropdown menu. The shipping charge for each available shipping option will be displayed in your cart. To estimate the delivery date, please add the Order Processing time and Shipping time outlined on the Shipping Rate Tables above.
- Q: When do I have to place my order to qualify for Express or Express Plus shipping?
- A: You must place your order by 11:00am ET.
- If your order is placed after 11:00am ET, it will be processed on the following business day.
- Q: Do any location restrictions apply to Express or Express Plus shipping?
- A: Yes. Unfortunately, we currently cannot provide Express or Express Plus service to the following locations:
- APO/FPO addresses
- P.O. Box addresses
- Alaska
- Hawaii
- U.S. territories (Guam, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands)
- Q: What does "Business Day" refer to for shipping delivery time estimates?
- A: We do not ship on weekends or holidays. So, when estimating your order's arrival date, please do not include weekends and holidays.
- Q: How does Order Processing" factor into my order's arrival date?
- A: To estimate your order's delivery time, you will need to include both the Order Procesing time and Shipping time. Please refer to the Shipping Rate tables above. Please note, if an item becomes out of stock after you've placed your order, order processing may take longer and delay your shipment.
- Q: How do I know if an item has a handling surcharge?
- A: Due to size and weight, some items are subject to a per item handling charge. Please refer to the Shipping Info tab on the Product Detail Page. Handling will be calculated automatically and will appear in your shopping cart.
- Q: Can all items be shipped via Express or Express Plus service?
- A: No. Some bulky or oversized items, cut-to-order fabrics or hazardous materials cannot be shipped via Express service. We will be happy to ship these items standard delivery. If you have items in your cart that require Express shipping, please enter a separate order.
- Q: Do you ship Internationally?
- A: No, at this time Joann.com only ships within the United States, its territories and possessions.
- Q: Do you ship to military bases?
- A: Yes. Please keep in mind that delivery to military addresses may take longer than the stated times.
- Q: Do you ship to Post Office Boxes?
- A: Yes. All P.O. box orders will be delivered by the United States Postal Service (USPS).
- Q: Do you ship to rural route numbers?
- A: Yes.
- Q: Can I send items to multiple addresses with the same order?
- A: Not at this time. To ship items to different addresses, please enter separate orders for each address.
- Q: What shipping methods do you use?
- A: Orders are shipped via FedEx or SmartPost.
- Q: Where is my Backorder?
- A: At this time Joann.com does not accept backorders. If an item is out of stock at the time of fulfillment we will ship the balance of your order and adjust your order total including shipping. You will receive an e-mail notifying you of the change.
- Q: Why did my order come in multiple boxes or from multiple carriers?
- A: We may ship your order to you in multiple boxes or via multiple carriers due to:
- The order size - large orders often are split into multiple boxes for more efficient delivery.
- The item size - some items required special handling and packaging and thus a separate box.
- The item's source - some items will come to you directly from the manufacturer.
