Description
WIRED YARN CUFF
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Wired yarn
  • 36" length 18-gauge craft wire
  • 1" diameter round form
  • Flower & leaves
  • 6mm pearl
  • Tacky glue
  • Needle-nose pliers

DIRECTIONS:
1. With needle-nose pliers, form a small loop at one end of the craft wire. Using the form, make a loop in the wire, ending parallel with the beginning small loop. Reversing the direction, continue forming loops, working down the wire. Finish with a small loop.

2. Starting at one end of the cuff, randomly wrap wired yarn around the cuff base, in and out of the loops.

3. Glue a flower & some leaves in the center loop. Glue pearl in center of flower.

4. Form bracelet cuff to fit wrist. Option: Use ready-made chain interwoven with several colors of wired yarn.


WIRED YARN FERN ARRANGEMENT
SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
  • Small clay pot
  • Light green acrylic paint
  • Floral Foam
  • 3 stems maidenhair fern
  • Wired yarn, green
  • Craft sponge
  • Wire cutters
  • Glue gun, glue sticks
  • Aleene’s® Collage Pauge Instant Decoupage, matte

DIRECTIONS: Refer to photo. Allow to dry between paint & collage pauge applications.
1. Use sponge to dab paint onto clay pot. Apply 2nd coat.

2. Fill container to rim with foam. Cut wired yarn to fit under the rim of the pot and secure ends with hot glue.

3. Apply a generous coat of collage pauge to the rest of the surface to be covered with wired yarn.

4. Wrap wired yarn around the container, pulling slightly for fit. Secure ends with hot glue. Turn pot upside down and allow to dry for several hours.

5. Trim fern. Glue in place, overlapping 1/2" around the rim. Pinch off single leaves; place & glue leaves to cover any exposed foam.
