Granddaughter Really Enjoyed Making It.
My 5 year old granddaughter picked this out as something she wanted to do with Grammy and PopPop and she was very excited about the "glow in the dark" paint. The kit contains everything you need to make the mobile. The hanger, sun and planets are cheap wood and the hanger in our kit was damaged and missing large sections of wood. The damage was only on one side so we just made sure that was the side facing the ceiling. There was enough paint in the kit to paint everything and more than enough string to attach the planets and name stars to the hanger. It took us 2 days to complete the painting since all the planets get painted 4 times- once per side with regular paint and once per side with glow in the dark paint. The mobile once completed is quite small- especially when hanging from the ceiling. The glow in the dark paint does not work well. The planets are crowded together and tend to bump into each other instead of spinning around. The strings are too thin to hold the planets onto the hanger and we ended up using beads to keep the strings from pulling out of their holes. So as an adult, I would say there are some problems with the kit. But granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed painting the mobile pieces and was very excited to hang it up over her bed. I had a coupon when I bought it so I got it for 1/2 price. If I was writing the review just for me, I would give it 3 stars but the kit gave Grammy, PopPop and granddaughter 2 days of fun and enjoyment and granddaughter is extremely proud of it so I gave it 4 stars.

Great S.T.E.M project
I bought this about 1.5 months ago and my 3.5 year old loved painting it. It turned out beautiful and it has brought about a lot of inquisitive questions from my toddler.
