Description

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • 1 skein each Lion Brand Holiday Homespun yarn: Wreath (A) Berry (B)
  • Large-eyed blunt needle
  • 12" Styrofoam brand foam wreath
  • 18 small Styrofoam brand foam balls
  • 6" square cardboard
  • Craft glue
  • Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

TASSEL:

With A, Make 12. Wrap yarn around 6" cardboard 3 times. Cut a piece of yarn 12" long and thread doubled into large-eyed blunt needle. Insert needle under all strands at upper edge of cardboard. Pull tightly and knot securely near strands. Cut yarn loops at lower edge of cardboard. Cut a piece of yarn 12" long and wrap tightly around loops about 1" below top knot to form tassel neck. Knot securely.

WREATH:

Apply a small amount of glue to foam wreath, then wrap evenly with A. Continue applying small amounts of glue, then wrapping with A until wreath is completely covered. Arrange tassels onto wreath. Tie yarn tails of tassel around wreath to secure.

FOAM BALLS:

Make 18. Apply a small amount of glue to foam ball; wrap evenly with B. Continue with B until completely covered. Glue wrapped foam balls to wreath.

Finished size 12".
