I purchased five of these frames to make a gifts for recognition for employee anniversaries. Not one had a back to it which you could pin things too. All these frames have is the card board backing like you would find in a normal picture frame. If I would have wanted this I would have purchased a normal frame and. It a shadow box .

Shadow box frame.
Worked extremely well for framing my sports memorabilia tshirts. Some glass on the frames I purchased were scratched but not that bad and one of the frames came apart on the corner. Most of them were perfectly fine.
