Inspirational but Incomplete
As a beginner/Intermediate sewer this inspired me but also frustrated me with lack of details. Perhaps one of the other reviewers that is an experienced sewer can do a video tutorial with more details and upgrades for us "wanna be" experts in training. My grandkids would put something like this to great use in their reading corner.

Pattern for “INTERMEDIATE SEWING SKILLS”
I agree with MimiB and Sewhappy below. This specifically calls for intermediate skills and that’s what the pattern is written for. This pattern is not written for beginners. I’ve been a seamstress fifty years. I have no problem “adjusting” the pattern/instructions just as the other reviewers mentioned above but, a beginner would really struggle. They might find a tutorial on line that would help them. This looks like a great accent piece for any room!!

Instructions fit the title!!!
I just saw the lovely pic and read the instructions- they give perfect directions with the detailed sizes of each piece. It was short and consise. All the critical reviews made me laugh because they all wanted something “different” or “better” than the title implied! but that would require a pattern with the pie shapes and dozens of details. This is exactly what it claims and it’s perfect as is!

Instructions not clear enough for a novice sewer
I just came across this project and thought what a great way to use up some extra fabric and make gifts. However, after printing out the directions, I don't see dimensions to cut what appears to be 8 pie pieces. I am experienced sewer and can figure this out on my own, but I the directions need to be more clear. I too would also put in a zipper, or velcro, so the item can be cleaned periodically.

Incomplete instructions
I agree with the others. The poof is shown with pie shaped top but there are no instructions for doing that. Also, there are no illustrations or diagrams and it's unclear how to stuff the round pillow. The lack of a zipper means that something meant for use on the floor will get dirty and need to cleaned. I am an experienced sewer, so I would make an inner pillow cover for the stuffing with a decorative outer layer incorporating the pieced top as well as a horizontal zip inserted into a side panel, but of course there are no instructions so someone less experienced would have difficulty figuring it out on their own.

What about the piecing?
Is the fabric printed with the wedge-shaped design? Otherwise, there is a definite lack of instruction here: how to measure, cut and piece the wedge sections.

just okay
this needs a zipper, as something that is on the floor there should be a way to remove the cover and wash it
