40"x 54"Fleece Blanket with Yarn Tassels

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• 1 Fleece no-sew blanket kit
• 5 Different skeins of super bulky yarn
• Matching thread
• Basic sewing supplies
• Scissors
• Ruler
• Large yarn needle

DIRECTIONS:

1. Lay the front and back fleeces with RST on cutting table.
2. Cut the marked lines off all the way around front and back.
3. With RST, stitch front to back, leaving an opening for turning.
4. Clip corners and turn RS out.
5. Slipstitch opening closed.
6. Mark with pins every 3" for tassels around all four edges.
7. Use the yarn needle to poke a hole at marked points 1/2" from edge, pull one end of tie through hole and tie tightly.
8. Use the yarn needle to tuck ends through wrap top.
9. Trim all tassels even to 3" all the way around the blanket.

TASSELS:
Make 13 or 14 tassels of each color of yarn.
FOR EACH TASSEL:

1. Cut 6 strands approximately 9" long.
2. Fold 4 strands in half and tie tightly at fold with the 5th strand.
3. Keeping the 5th strand ends free, with the 6th strand, tightly wrap top edge of tassel and tie tightly.
4. Tuck ends through wrap to secure with the yarn needle.
