They kept the room cozy and liveable during our Vermont winters. Because we used "boat snaps" we can completely remove the curtains on sunny days to let all of the sunlight come in, and then snap them back up when the sun goes down. About a month ago we bought 12 more yards of Warm Window fabric (thank you, Joann, for the sale!) and are making curtains for the rest of the windows in the house. It is worth every penny and the curtains (at least the way we make them) are super easy to do.
Date published: 2015-11-10

Rated 5 out of 5 by Quiltersmomma from Energy saving and beautiful I have been making Roman shades with this fabric for our family homes for 30+ years. The multiple layers definitely make a difference in the comfort of our home when the weather is extra warm or extra cold. In addition to preventing cold drafts, heat is kept in in winter and out in summer. We live in the Midwest. When our daughter moved to Salt Lake, we made them for all the windows in her house as well. Whe our son moved to the Deep South, he asked us to come make them For his home there. When he moved, the shades became a point of negotiation and helped him get an extra 10K. We smiled and made new ones for his new house.
Date published: 2017-05-30

Rated 5 out of 5 by Shupermom from Great for winter and summer This material will keep heat from escaping in winter and keep heat from entering in the summer. A wonderful product! I have created Warm Windows for every window in our home. When not in use... Spring and Fall, they can be folded and stored as easily as a blanket. The initial cost is outweighed by the savings you will experience. I have also made Warm Windows for my children and grandchildren. This is easy to work with to create an attractive window quilt that does the job. Best of all is that I have been using this product for over 15 years and the fabric is easy to clean. When redecorating the room, I could have simply recovered the fabric rather than making a new one.
Date published: 2015-10-16

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisaonthegoco from Instantly warms a room! 30 plus years on my Windows and every time I roll them down the room warms up. I wanted the Roman shades with the sealed magnets and the beautiful pleats. I'm not that patient to figure out all those measurements so... I sewed an oversized blanket, whip stitched on some 1 inch plastic curtain rings and threaded tension rods into my windows. I cut grosgrain ribbon tie ups and I have been good to go. Measure your window exactly add 2 inches all around, wrong sides together sew pretty material or cream colored muslin to the fuzzy side. Inside out and finish the top hem. Sew grosgrain ribbon ties to the top at 2 intervals (or 3 ) long enough that you can roll the window from the bottom and tie the back ribbon to the front to hold the roll up during the day. Mark evenly spaced places where you will sew 1 inch rings across the top about 4 or 5 inches down from the top. Make sure you can buy tension rods that fit thru 1 inch rings and that your windows are less 54 inch fabric width. I came up with a different solution for wider Windows. Well worth the cost...and with a Joann's sale or coupon ...very doable.
Date published: 2016-01-08

Rated 5 out of 5 by Dusk from Absolutely Worth Every Penny!!! I purchased 9 yards of this material to cover the windows in my east room as I live in the high desert and gets pretty intense in the summer. I loved the fabric and the results. I recently moved to a new house in the tropics and wanted to make shades to help keep the house cool when the A/C is running, so I ordered 11 yards of fabric. The fabric is manufactured with 15 yards to a bolt, so I expected a single cut. Notes on JoAnn's website led me to believe they would notify me by email if they could not provide a single cut. I got a shipping notice and no email indicating there would be multiple cuts, so I bought the cover fabric locally, as well as the lumber I needed to install trim around the windows. The windows were ready when the fabric arrived. To my disappointment, the fabric was in 2 pieces - 6 yds and 5 yds, both of which were a few inches short when I unrolled and measured them. In addition, the cuts were not straight, so I lost a few more inches when squaring the fabric. And to top it off, the end of one of the pieces was streaked with dirt for the first 12 inches. I will probably be able to complete shades for most of the windows I wanted to do with some piecing and creativity, but I'm very disappointed with the way the order was fulfilled. I give the product 5 stars, but the lowest possible rating for order fulfillment. Unfortunately, I live 2,500 miles away from the nearest store where I can actually see the fabric being cut, so I won't be ordering the fabric for the rest of the house from JoAnn.com. Instead I'll order from an online source that will guarantee a single cut.
Date published: 2017-08-16

The Warm Company Warm Window Insulated Shade Lining Fabric 54'' Reviews - page 2

y_2019, m_9, d_14, h_22

bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_2.0.13

cp_1, bvpage1

co_hasreviews, tv_3, tr_24

loc_en_US, sid_10674935, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=RELEVANCE, direction=DESCENDING)]

clientName_joann

bvseo_sdk, dw_cartridge, 18.2.0, p_sdk_3.2.0

CLOUD, getReviews, 30ms

reviews, product
