Abstract Painted Canvas Shoes

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• White Canvas Shoes
• Fabric Paint in Desired Colors
• Paper Plate or Paint Tray for Paint Mixing
• Various-Sized Brushes (medium flat and detailed)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Lay out the desired color palette on your plate. Mix the colors as needed.
2. Paint the abstract design in layers allowing each layer to dry before adding the next.
3. Work with bigger sections in the back and smaller, more detailed lines and dots on top. It's best to add one color around the shoe, let it dry then layer on the next. You may need to add more of another color later but by letting them dry between you will keep the colors from blending and mudding up.

JOANN HACKS:

• Choose your color palette, decide which will be the main color for the first initial larger color spots. Then choose 2-3 colors to add more lines and details. Pick one accent color to add as a pop of color throughout the design.
