Advent Air Dry Clay Number Ornaments

SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

• Air dry clay
• Clay roller/rolling pin
• Cookie cutters
• Knife/craft knife (optional)
• Acrylic paints, assorted
• Paintbrushes
• Ribbon/trim
• Scissors

DIRECTIONS:

1. Roll out a section of clay to about 1/4" thickness.
2. Use assorted cookie cutters to cut out shapes, you will need 25 in total for the calendar.
3. (Don't forget to add a hole for the ribbon or string to hang.)
4. Let the clay dry for 24-48 hours.
5. Once the clay is dry, paint and decorate each ornament. Make sure to leave space in your design to add the numbers.
6. After the paint has dried add your yarn or string to hang.

JOANN HACKS:

• If you don't have cookie cutters, use the knife or blade to design your own shapes!


• Air dry clay will start to dry out as you work with it, use smaller amounts of clay at a time to keep it soft & workable.


• Let paint dry completely between coats of paint.
