The Airtex High Density Foam Sheet is ideal for a range of cushioning projects. Cut and trim this foam Sheet to work around various DIY concepts for your home or office upholstery projects. Use it to make camper cushions, boat seating, chair pads, garden benches and small foam cushions. This high-density foam is long lasting and conforms to the California Bureau of Home Furnishings Fire Retardant Code 117-2013. It is made of polyurethane foam. This item is sold by the yard in 2 foot cuts.

2 yd cuts only
I ordered needing a little over 3 yds for a cushion. I had to order in 2 yard increments , so I ordered 4 thinking I would cut down to size . The foam came in two boxes , 2 yards each so I had to piece together. I could not even return because the recipes indicated 4 yds and I know that anything “cut” is not returnable at the store

Airtex 4'' High Density Foam
If you have ever bought high density foam before you know how costly it is! I walked into my local Joann Fabrics to check it out on a Tuesday night. The wonderful lady at the cutting counter went out back to see if they had any full size sheets for me. She came back and told me they had none but that the foam was going to be on sale Thursday for 60% off!!! Checked the web page Thursday morning and they were offering 15% off if I ordered online and picked up in store. Needless to say I took advantage of this deal and bought one sheet of 5" and one of 4". May have been able to get by with just replacing the top cushions on the sofa with the 4" but at that price I replaced the 5" bottom cushions also. The first night I was in the store the clerk told me she could cut the foam for me. When I picked the foam up I was told they could not cut the length??? Not sure why so I cut it myself, not as good as their cross cuts. We bought the sofa almost 15 years ago and I don't remember it feeling as good as it does now. Thank you Joann!

Exactly what I needed
I used this product to replace the cushions on my couch. I had doubts because it felt so squishy - I was worried about it flattening right away. That was a year ago and my couches are heavily used. They're still fine - I'm very happy with it. I used it for outdoor cushions too and I realized i really needed a thicker size. It works best if you get it a little larger than your measurements. It's better if you really have to smoosh it into the cover, otherwise the covers slip around. It's worth the money! I used a coupon on the foam for my couch. I got 40% off. It seemed like a lot but it was hundreds of dollars less than having it professionally done.

Compresses All The Way
This foam says it's great for making cushions, but when I sit on it, it compresses all the way and feels like sitting on a hard surface. I'm 6'2" and 235 lbs. - not exactly morbidly obese. Why does the product description not include the foam's compression rating?

Airtex Foam Is Great For RV Seat Cushions
The Airtex High Density Foam I purchased was a perfect replacement for the worn and abused foam rubber in my RV seat cushions. It was easy to cut to size with a sharp butcher knife. My rear end is happy now!
