SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- 1 Absorbent Pendant
- 1 Set of Alcohol Inks in Colors of Your Choice
- Silver or Gold Chain, About 18"
- 1 Clasp
- 3 Jump Rings
- 2 Pairs of Small Jewelry Pliers
- 1 Small Set of Resin Hardener (Amazing Cast Resin works well)
- 1 Bottle of Rubbing Alcohol
- Small Paint Brush
- Wooden Popsicle Stick Paper Towels
DIRECTIONS:
- Lay the pendant on a flat working surface.
- Apply a few drops of the alcohol inks and push the colors around with your brush. Work quickly because it will dry quickly.
- Add additional color while it is still wet to blend the colors together.
- Once you are satisfied with the design, let it dry.
- After it is completely dry, mix a small amount of the resign and with a wooden stick push the resin around on the front of the pendant. Let it go onto the sides as well, but then wipe it smooth with the wooden stick to prevent drippings when it has dried.
- Let the pendant dry for 6 hours.
- After it is dry you can complete the necklace by attaching the jump rings through the holes and attaching the chain and clasp well.
JOANN HACKS:
- Place the pendant on a water bottle cap to lift it off of the working surface so that the pendant doesn't stick to the table while drying.

Looks fun, but...
This looks like a fun project but... exactly what is the alcohol for, its on the item list, but never mentioned in the instructions.
Explaining what you consider an absorbent material to start the project might be nice too.
Does Joann set a word limit for project guidelines, it seems like there are always basic steps missing. This is supposed to be a beginner project, but it really doesn't have enough steps for me (a beginner) to do it. Too bad, because it looked like a cool project
