SUPPLIES & TOOLS:
- We R Memory Keepers Candle Maker or Double Boiler
- Silicone Rectangle Soap Mold
- Soap Gel Block, Clear
- Soap Dyes
- Assorted Fine Glitter
- Package of Small Plastic Animals
- Wooden Stir Sticks or Popsicle Sticks
- Mold Release Spray Bottle
- Scissors
DIRECTIONS:
- Follow the instructions on the block of soap gel. Spray the inside of your mold with the release spray and let it dry before using the mold.
- Create one bar of soap at a time because you will need to mix the glitter and insert your plastic animal before it cools off too much. When mixing in the dye, start out with the wax completely melted and lightly sprinkle in your dye (not the candle maker or double boiler). Swirl the color around and add more dye or glitter as needed. The color will darken as it mixes.
- Place your animal into the mold, making sure it sits below the surface. Use your popsicle sticks to move the animals around or push it down into the melted wax. After you have completed one bar of soap the way you want, you can move onto the next one while the first one is still cooling. Let the mold sit until it is completely cooled. Flip the mold over and push from behind to release the soaps.
- Be careful not to pour above the maximum line at the top of the molds.
JOANN HACKS:
- Don't go too dark on the dyes or you won't be able to see the animals through the soap.
