DIRECTIONS: Seams are 5/8" unless noted. Follow pattern and instructions to complete top and pants.
  1. Complete pattern as instructed in pattern views.

  2. Cut off amount desired for a crop top.

  3. To distress: cut off excess fabric with a curvy or jagged line.

  4. Leave hem unfinished.

  5. Start pulling fibers out from the hem. Some knits are easier to pull than others. Pull out as many fibers needed to obtain the distressed look desired.

  6. The neckline can be distressed also by cutting binding and pulling fibers out.

JOANN HACKS:
  • Distressing: pulling fibers out can help by using a tweezers with pointed ends.
  • If holes are desired for distressing, cut a hole and pull on knit to make the hole bigger and prick fibers.
  • Using a size #14 or #16 Ball Point needle for heavier knits fabric help from making snags or skip stitches.
