Don't buyI bought this a couple weeks ago while I was setting up my silversmithing bench. I used them 3 times all within the same evening and the white protective nylon broke rendering them useless. Do not waste your money on this product.

Poor qualityBoth nylon pieces came off the 2nd time I used them. I'm new to jewelry making so I didn't want to spend a lot. Going to try gluing them on myself. What a waste of money.

This isn't nylon....These pliers claim to be nylon tipped but I'm quite certain that's a lie. This is hard plastic that breaks after several uses. And slides off. I have also had to oil everything that is "bead buddy" brand to get it to loosen up enough to use comfortably. My advice, don't buy these. Go online and get Beadalon brand REAL nylon tipped pliers. Or if you've already bought these, go buy some plastidip and dip the naked metal a couple times after the plastic tips break and fall off.

It Doesn’t Grip and The Plastic Piece is CrumblingI bought these pliers two days ago and the plastic is crumbling.
This tool is not capable of doing what it’s supposed to do because the plastic piece is to slippery and crumbles while I’m trying to bend wire.

Don't recommend. Very low quality. Low durability.I bought these a few months and have only used a handful of time. They actuall did scrarch my wire. The pads have no grip and fell off the the forst time I used them. The nylon pads are ROCK hard and marr and divot very easily. Description states they are anti-fatigue but I did not find that to be true at all. They have no grip at all so they caused more hand pain for me. The spring clamp continually pops open or slides inward and pinches the webbing between my thumb and pointer finger or the oalm of my hand during use. They actually cut me when the pad came off as I was using it to straighten a piece of wire?

A favorite toolI use these all the time to straighten out wire at various stages in my jewelry-making projects. It is not meant to be a regular pliers - it won’t hold pieces in place, etc. It is meant only to straighten wire... I haven’t found anything else that works better for that purpose! The nylon does mar with regular use, but I love and use it so much I’m buying a second one!

BulkyFor basic wire straightening or hardening they are o.k.. If you want to hold a part of your jewelry piece to work on, these jaws are way to big and bulky. Also, you can't get replacement heads and if you pull a lot of wire, they will get beat up fast. It is nice the company donates to Breast Cancer, which is why I bought them.

Use them all the timeUse them often for straightening and work hardening wire. Yes have not found nylon jaw replacements but you can sand down and smooth for longer use. Still looking for replacement tips but in the mean time I will keep sanding
