SUPPLIES & TOOLS:

  • Corrugated cardboard
  • 12" round mirror
  • Compass
  • E-6000 glue
  • Hot glue
  • Craft knife
  • Jewelry wire
  • Assorted bead strings
  • Jewelry wire snippers

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Using compass, draw a 15" diameter circle on corrugated cardboard. Cut out with craft knife.
  2. Cut 2, 2"x 1" rectangles from cardboard.
  3. Cut 8" of jewelry wire.
  4. Center jewelry wire on back top of cardboard. Glue wire ends down by gluing cardboard rectangles on top of the ends of the wire. Allow some wire to extend past the cardboard, and fold up and over the cardboard rectangles. Allow glue to set as directed on package.
  5. When glue is set, flip cardboard over. Glue mirror to cardboard. Allow glue to set as directed on package.
  6. Starting from the edge of the mirror, glue beads down around mirror perimeter with hot glue. Keep beads strung for easier gluing. Work in concentric circles, working your way to the edge of the cardboard. Use large beads to create the last ring of beads to hide the edge of the cardboard. Unstring large beads and hot glue around top edge of mirror as a finishing touch.

JOANN HACKS:

  • It is recommended to keep beads strung when applying, especially small beads.
