    Rated 3 out of 5 by from Points have changed I have been using these size 10 beading needles with ball point tip for a long time. I ordered 10 packages recently and despite the item number (JJ10710B) being the exact same, the tips are definitely NOT blunt/ball point. They are sharp. You can visibly see the difference in the tips. I emailed John James and did not receive any response yet (been 2 weeks thus far). I don't know if these needs might have been mislabeled at the factory or what, but I cannot use them for their intended use.

When you are adding beads to cross stitch or other linen embroidery, regular size beads will fit on a tapestry 28 or sometimes a 26, but petite beads will not. These needles will fit through the petites without risk of splitting your fabric threads. And, John James is just an excellent needle brand. I've never seen on a JJ needles the sort of burrs and sharp edges inside the eye that I've found in DMC needles.
