Water based
This soap colorant is water based, meaning that it is not very soluble in waxy soap. It all floats to the top and you get a crazy-colored top of the soap and then clear or white bottom (depending on your soap base). I have found by trial and error that it stays mixed in in you incorporate the color while you are heating/melting the soap base, meaning that this will work in a pinch but that This will take many bowls and much time to use to get it to stay colored correctly. Buy a soap soluble, non water-based coloring instead.
