NOTES
Right side of project is facing at all times.
"Working yarn" is held behind stitches throughout work.
Loops from working yarn are always pulled through stitches from back to front of work.
FRONT AND BACK (make 2 pieces alike)
With MC, count 28 loops for foundation row (noting yarn end is at far right and all loops are facing upwards).
1st row: Working from left to right, pull 29th loop (from "working yarn'" up through 28th loop (last loop of foundation row) to create a knit st. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next loop of foundation row. Continue in this manner to end of row. Do not turn work. 28 sts in row.
2nd row: Working from right to left, pull next loop from working yarn up through last st worked on previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn up through next st. Repeat from * across to end of row. Do not turn.
3rd row: Working from left to right, pull next loop from working yarn up through last st worked on previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn up through next st. Repeat from * across to end of row. Do not turn.
Repeat 2nd and 3rd rows until work measures approx 22" [56 cm], ending on a 2nd row.
Bind off row: Working in same direction as last row, pull 2nd st through first st. Pull 3rd st through 2nd st. Pull 4th st through 3rd st. Continue in this manner to end of row. Cut last loop to create a yarn 'tail'. Tie to secure and weave in ends.
FEET (work on Front and Back pieces)
First Foot
1st row: With bottom edge and right side of work facing, join A to 4th st from corner.
Working from right to left, pull up a loop in each of next 5 sts. Do not turn. 6 sts.
**2nd row: Working from left to right, pull next loop from working yarn up through last st worked on previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn up through next st. Repeat from * across to end of row. Do not turn.
3rd row: Working from right to left, pull next loop from working yarn up through last st worked on previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn up through next st. Repeat from * across to end of row. Do not turn.
Repeat last 2 rows once more.
Bind off row: Working in same direction as last row, pull 2nd st through first st. Pull 3rd st through 2nd st. Pull 4th st through 3rd st. Continue in this manner to end of row. Cut last loop to create a yarn 'tail'. Tie to secure and weave in ends.**
Second Foot
1st row: With bottom edge and right side of work facing, skip next 6 sts after First Foot. Join A to next st. Working from left to right, pull up a loop in each of next 6 sts. Do not turn.
Work from ** to ** as given for First Foot.
EYE PATCH
With A, count 23 loops for foundation row (noting yarn end is at far right and all loops are facing upwards).

2nd row: Working from right to left, pull next loop from working yarn through last st worked on previous row. (Place next loop of row on top of following loop creating a double loop &-; treat this double loop as 1 st.
Pull next loop from working yarn up through double loop &-; left leaning decrease made. Pull next loop from working yarn through next st) 3 times. (Pull next loop from working yarn through next st) 4 times. (Place next loop of row behind following loop creating a double loop &-; treat this double loop as 1 st. Pull next loop from working yarn up through double st &-; right-leaning decrease made. Pull next loop from working yarn through next st) 3 times. Do not turn. 17 sts.
3rd row: Working from left to right, pull next loop from working yarn up through last st worked on previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn up through next st. Repeat from * across to end of row. Do not turn.
4th row: Working from right to left, pull next loop from working yarn through last st worked on previous row. (Work left-leaning decrease. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next st) twice. (Pull next loop from working yarn up through next st) 4 times. (Work right-leaning decrease. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next st) twice. Do not turn. 13 sts.
5th row: Working from left to right, pull next loop from working yarn through last st worked on previous row. (Pull next loop from working yarn through next st) 6 times. Place next loop of row behind following loop creating a double loop. Place following loop behind double loop to create triple loop. Pull next loop from working yarn up through triple st &-; double decrease made. PM on st just worked. (Pull next loop from working yarn through next st) 7 times. Do not turn. 11 sts.
6th row: Working from right to left, pull next loop from working yarn through last st worked on previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn through next st. Repeat from * to 1 st before marker. Work double decrease. PM on st just worked. **Pull next loop from working yarn through next st. Repeat from ** to end of row. Do not turn. 9 sts.

Work double decrease. PM on st just worked. **Pull next loop from working yarn through next st. Repeat from ** to end of row. Do not turn. 7 sts.
8th and 9th rows: As 6th and 7th rows. 3 sts remain.
10th row: Work double decrease. 1 st remains.
Cut last loop to create yarn 'tail'. Tie to secure and weave in ends.
SNOUT
Cut first loop of yarn close to base to create a tail approx 3" long.
Count 5 loops for foundation rnd. Tie tail to yarn between 5th and 6th loops to create ring. Place ring on a flat surface with all loops pointing out to avoid twisting ring.
1st rnd: Working from right to left, pull first AND second loops from working yarn up through first loop of rnd (first loop to the left of tie) to create 2 knit sts. (Pull next 2 loop from working yarn up through next loop of foundation rnd) 3 times. PM between first and last sts of rnd to mark end of rnd. 10 sts.
2nd rnd: Working from right to left, (pull next 2 loops from working yarn up through next st of rnd. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next st of rnd) 5 times. 15 sts.
3rd rnd: Working from right to left, [(pull next loop from working yarn up through next st of rnd) twice. Pull next 2 loops from working yarn up through next st of rnd] 5 times. 20 sts.
4th to 7th rnds: Working from right to left, *pull next loop from working yarn up through next st of rnd. Repeat from * to end of rnd.
Bind off rnd: Pull 2nd st through 1st st. Pull 3rd st through 2nd st. Pull 4th st through 3rd st. Continue in this manner to end of rnd. Cut last loop to create yarn 'tail'. Tie to secure and weave in ends.
