DIRECTIONS:

NOTES:
Right side of project is facing at all times.
When joining new color, cut base of first and last loops to create a "yarn tail" to tie colors together.
For Striping effect shown, choose a contrasting color to previous color when joining A or B (EZ Stripes yarn).
Choose stripe shades in Contrast A to be Color 1 and Color 2. Choose stripe shades in Contrast B to be Color 3 and Color 4.
Stripe Pattern:
Work 2 rows of each color:
A (Color 1); C; A (Color 2); C; A (Color 1); B (Color 3); B (Color 4); B (Color 3); B (Color 4); B (Color 3); A (Color 2); C; A (Color 1); C; A (Color 2).
These 30 rows form Stripe Pattern.

PILLOW:
Count first 25 loops of C for foundation row (noting yarn end is at far right and all loops are facing upwards).
1st row: Working from left to right, pull 26th loop (from working yarn) up through 25th loop (last loop of foundation row) from behind to create a knit st. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next loop of foundation. Continue in this manner to end of row. Do not turn work. 25 sts in row.
2nd row: (Loopy row). Fold row of loops from previous row towards lower edge exposing horizontal 'bump' behind each st. Working from right to left, pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through first exposed bump from previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through next exposed bump. Repeat from * across to end of row. Do not turn. Cut base of next loop to create a yarn tail to join next color.
3rd row: Cut base of first loop of Color 1 to create a yarn tail and join to C from previous row. (Loopy row). Fold row of loops from previous row towards lower edge exposing horizontal bump behind each st. Working from left to right, pull next loop from working yarn (Color 1) up from behind through first exposed bump from previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through next exposed bump. Repeat from * across to end of row. Do not turn.
4th row: Working from right to left, with working yarn in back, pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through last stitch worked on previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through next stitch. Repeat from * to end of row. Do not turn. Cut base of next loop to create a yarn tail. Break Color 1.
5th row: Cut base of first loop of C and join to Color 1 from previous row. Working from left to right, with working yarn in back, pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through last stitch worked on previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through next stitch. Repeat from * to end of row. Do not turn.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from pillow I dont see the needle size. I assume you just keep trying larger and larger until you get the right gage. Not very efficient.
