DIRECTIONS:
Right side of project is facing at all times.
To join new color, cut thread at base of next loop (thread used to create the loop) to create a yarn ‘tail’. You will now join next color. Cut thread at base of first loop of new color to create a yarn “tail". Tie tails of two colors together, and weave in ends.
With Contrast A, count 70 loops for foundation row (noting yarn end is at far right and all loops are facing upwards).
1st row: Working from left to right, pull the 71st loop (from ‘working yarn’) up through 70th loop (last loop of foundation row) from behind to create a knit st. Pull next loop from working yarn up through next loop of foundation row. Continue in this manner to end of row. Do not turn work. 70 sts in row.
2nd row: Working from right to left, with working yarn in front, pull next loop from working yarn towards back through last st worked on previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn towards back through next st. Repeat from * across to end of row. Do not turn.
3rd row: Working from left to right, with working yarn in back, pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through last st worked on previous row. *Pull next loop from working yarn up from behind through next st. Repeat from * across to end of row. Do not turn.
4th row: As 2nd row. Repeat 3rd and 4th rows for pattern until work measures approximately 24" [61 cm], ending on a 2nd row.
With Contrast B, work 6 rows in pattern.
With Contrast A, work 4 rows in pattern.

Bind-off row: Working in same direction as last row and in the same shade, pull 2nd st through first st. Pull 3rd st through 2nd st. Pull 4th st through 3rd st. Continue in this manner to end of row. Cut last loop to create yarn ‘tail’. Tie to secure and weave in ends.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Check out YouTube If you've never done knitting with these pre-looped yarns, check out YouTube for videos to get you started. Once you get started I think you'll love it! I never learned to knit or crochet but I love these projects!!!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Understanding the instructions???? I can't believe how many people are saying they don't understand the instructions. Do you all realize the loops are already in the yarn? All you are doing is following the instructions on how to join the loops to make the projects. No tools necessary to make these projects. Just your fingers. This is the easiest patterns to follow and still makes the same projects that you need the needles and hooks for. Hope this clears up the confusion that I'm seeing many people having. It's not rocket science.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great for inexperienced with yarn! I have bought the Bernat Alize EZ yarn for quite a few projects as I'm not skilled or knowledgeable about knitting or crocheting. This yarn is very easy to work with and super soft and comfy. I started with making scarves to get used to the different types of "stitches" for this yarn. I'm now working on blankets. I love that I don't have to worry about keeping the stitches the same size as the yarn already has it predetermined! And if I need any help with figuring out how to do something there are tons of videos online that show you step-by-step.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Can Someone Fix the Instructions I noticed when clicking the print project button that there are way more instructions on the print preview that need expanding than are on the webpage. If this can be fixed, then I think that would solve all the complaints. It looks like a beautiful project.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible Instructions. After a friend bought the yarn, I downloaded the instructions and they were clear as mud. A video would be very helpful to all of us. I will not buy until, I can understand how to start. The rest of the instruction could probably be followed after we learn how to start. Please.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Makes sense only for the specific yarn I am a knitter and when I first read the instructions to decide whether to get supplies, I went "huh?" much like the other reviewers who probably looked at the pretty blanket like me and wanted to make it. Then – I clicked back to the email where I had originally linked to this project, and realized the yarn called for has loops BUILT IN, which makes a lot of sense given the instructions. It is basically laying out a length of yarn the width of the blanket (which means a length of pre-formed loops) and then doubling back with the end of the yarn and inserting the second row loops into the first, back and forth across the width. The instructions definitely don't make sense unless you are familiar with and understand the specific yarn this pattern is made for. Uploading the stock photo from the email for others to see (even the yarn photos don't make this obvious).
